This project will create a new direction and investment wave in renewable energy, marking Vietnam’s historical milestone in the solar power to serve the country development, ensuring the energy for sustainable economic development of the country”, that is the comments of Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Hoang Trung Hai at the groundbreaking ceremony in August 2015.
Groundbreaking in August 2015, althought the project didn’t reach the target as expected due to some objective reasons, however, only 3 months of construction, afternoon of April 26th, Thien Tan Group was held the inauguration for Mo Duc Solar power plant to generate electricity and synchronize into the national grid contribute to supplement and reduce the demand for electricity of household and factories during these hot and sunny days.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tang Binh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai People's Committee affirmed that: With creative business ideas, anticipating modern social trends by green energy projects, renewable energy, Thien Tan Group is an enterprise that has made great contributions to the socio-economic development of the province in particular and the country in general. The success of Mo Duc solar power plant proved the progress and continuous development of Thien Tan Group. The project will supplement annual energy resources of about 35 million KWh, contribute to annual budget of about VND 10 billion and create jobs for hundreds of workers.

Mo Duc solar power plant owned by Thien Tan Group is the first solar energy exploitation project in Vietnam to add a clean energy source to the National grid system, covering an area of nearly 30ha, with a capacity of 19.2 MW, total investment of nearly VND 900 billion was constructed, operated and designed according to the technology of FTC Solar - USA, one of the top 10 solar energy companies in the industry. Thien Tan’s solar panels are evaluated by experts to be in the Top 10 of global solar panel quality. By this time this is the most modern solar power plant in top of the world.
Tracker system using the smart sensors, keep solar panels always facing to the sun to receive the maximum irradiance during the day, especially the tracker will automatically turn to plane position when storm coming, with the “super” resistance up to Beaufort level 18.

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Huynh Kim Lap, Chairman of Thien Tan Group said that Thien Tan's investment principle is win for everybody: the company wins, the government wins, the people in the project area win and enjoy benefit from the project itself. According to Mr.Lap, the living environment is the thing that Thien Tan most concerned about, therefore, the Mo Duc solar power project applies the most advanced technology of the world based on the principle of "None": no noise, no dust and no waste water ...
After a series of renewable energy and clean energy projects such as Tra Bong and Dak Re hydropower plants, Mo Duc solar power plant ... Thien Tan Group will speed up the completion of the "super" power project Thien Solar Solar - Ninh Thuan, affirmed the position of a leading enterprise in electricity enlightenment and development in Vietnam.
